Our Big 4 Month-er!

Ole is now four months old! I am sure that I said this when he was 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, but where does the time go?  Yet, on one hand it is hard to believe that it has only been 4 months since this little guy entered our lives.  He is truly becoming an active little one and loves to chew on his fists and grab at his toys, which go directly into his mouth of course!  He grabs at everything in our hands too which is quite humorous!  Seeing him grab your water glass and put it to his mouth like he is drinking it is just the cutest.  He started to roll over as well and has been spending much more time on his tummy! Gotta love that tummy time!  We get all his toys spread out and he loves playing with them and mostly...trying to eat them.  He is starting to make loud talking sounds too and hearing him laugh is just the best.  My favorite is the way he laughed at Chad when he was singing Michael Jackson.  It was too funny!

Fourth Month Memories
  • "Smiley Pants": He is so super smiley around others that people always comment on it.  That and how alert he is.  I guess I don't have much to compare it to, but apparently he is one alert little guy.  The doctor mentioned that he is quite an active little guy.  Guess we have a busy body on our hands!
  • Diaper Changing Giraffe: We bought an adorable small blanket with a giraffe head on it when we were in Sunriver last summer and it has been sitting on Ole's changing table.  We now lovingly refer to it as the diaper changing giraffe as it keeps him company and gives him something to grab onto when we change his diapers.  He grabs it immediately and hooks it around his arm while trying quite intensely to shove the giraffe head into his mouth (I'm sensing a pattern...)!
  • Baptismal Day: Ole was baptized the week after Easter.  It was a very special day and so many friends and family were there to share in it with us which meant a lot to Chad and I.  Ole was asleep as the baptism started and then awoke just in time to take in the crowd and be baptized.  The highlight might have been him spitting up right after when Pastor Julie handed us the cloth for his head.  It was projectile and quite an awesome memory actually!
  • Jumparoo: He loves jumping so much that we bought him a jumparoo and he couldn't be more entertained by it.  He loves to jump and play, but mostly when people are watching.  He will be quietly looking at the toys on it until one of us comes into view and then suddenly the whole thing lights up with sound and he starts jumping vigorously.  Such a performer, that one!
  • Current Nicknames: O, Bugaboo, Ole-Son, Smiley Pants
