Three Month Update

                 Ole is three months old today, Easter Sunday!  How time flies and I have a feeling that it doesn't slow down anytime soon either.  Ole is growing so big and seems to be so much bigger and stronger now (see note about our Mexican Jumping Bean below!).  His smile is absolutely infection and he is so smiley in the mornings, which is my favorite time to cuddle with him, though he only wants to stand and jump around.  ;)  He is starting to hold toys and grab for things as he realizes what his hands are and how to control them.  It is fun to watch his development and see him learn new things.  He is napping long stretches in the swing during the day and is sleeping the first stretch of nighttime in his rock 'n play which is a huge step for us.  I bring him into bed with us once he gets up to nurse, usually around 3-4am.  It is my favorite time as we are cuddled together sleeping.  He is just so adorable I can barely stand it!                 

Baby Boy Specs

• There is no 3 month doctor appointment, so we don't have any specs until next month, but my thoughts are below. ;)
• Weight: Gaining!  I swear he feels heavier each time I pick him up, but truth be told he is one skinny boy!!  Maybe all the spitting up he is doing is cutting back his calories too much?!?!
• Length: Long, long, long and note his clothing size below.  People always comment on how old he looks.
• Head Circumference: Well lets just say that the hat I bought him that didn't fit a few weeks ago fits all to well these days.  I hope he doesn't grow out of it too soon as it is just too adorable for words on him.
• Clothing Size: He even fits into some of his 9 month outfits length wise at least! What a string bean this boy is!!

Third Month Memories

• "Fists of Fury" : Ole makes the best fists ever!  Every time I change his diaper, or put him on his back for any reason, he makes two of the strongest and tightest fists ever and waves them around.  We call them his "fists of fury" and laugh at them every time.  It never gets old and the face he makes to go with them is hilarious!
• Drunk Smile:  My personal favorite thing Ole does when sleeping is the drunk smile.  He will pull away from me after nursing and falling asleep and then he makes the cutest grin that is ear to ear and looks like he is having the best dream ever....I wonder what he dreams about?
• Bib Handy?: We need a bib handy at all times with this one!  He spits up soooooo much sometimes that you really wonder if there is any milk left in his tummy!  It is a very normal occasion in our family to find ourselves covered in spit up.  Ole goes through 2-3 outfits a day sometimes!  God bless the cute bandana bibs we bough him.  Worth every penny!!
• Mexican Jumping Bean: Ole's favorite thing in the entire world (other than his loving family) is to stand up as tall as he can (and as often as he can) and to jump up and down.  He truly loves nothing more than standing and jumping and he has really really strong legs.  This boy is ready for a jumping johnny or exersaucer as soon as he can hold is head up a little bit better (though he is doing really well with that too!).  Our little jumping bean!
• Current Nicknames: O, Buns, and Cutes
