I am so grateful that I started this project this summer when I had tons more energy than I do right now! I couldn't be more happy with how the nursery turned out. What started as a dark and dank catch-all room where we stored anything we didn't have a place for has transformed into a nursery space that I couldn't love more. We never used to spend any time in this space, but now I love going into it and it has a nice homey feel. I feel as though our house got larger as this is now usable space. Some of the highlights include our new computer (thank you Scholastic Book Orders for giving me enough bonus point to get it for free!) and desk space, the comfy glider chair for all those late nights of rocking baby to sleep, the Ikea spice racks turned books shelves, Chad's childhood "blue" dresser getting a new chance at life as a white dresser, and the Ikea crib that was all but a miracle that we have (long, long, long story!). Needless to say it is exactly what I dreamed it would be and I am so excited to bring Baby Hansen home to his or her new room. Bear even found his place resting in front of and guarding the crib. At 37 weeks, we hope that Baby Hansen hangs out for roughly 3 more weeks so we can get the start of my maternity leave, Christmas, and our first wedding anniversary under our belts before baby arrives! Here's to hoping!
