HOW FAR ALONG? 10 weeks
GENDER: Surprise! This baby is going to own a lot of gray things….
BABY IS THE SIZE OF A: Prune or Kumquat, not sure I eat enough of either of those to really know how big they are!
TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN: 3-4 pounds, however that could also be from eating less than stellar and not working out, not just the baby
MATERNITY CLOTHES? Not yet, but so excited for all the cute things I have seen on websites.
STRETCH MARKS? I have been reading up on the best preventative creams and Palmer’s Coco Butter is high on the list.
MOVEMENT: Not yet, but so excited to feel it for the first time!
SLEEP: Could definitely be better. I get up usually twice between 10pm and 7am to use the bathroom. Not the best way to stay well-rested and ready for the work day.
SYMPTOMS: Earlier this week I had the worst fatigue and nausea yet, but that (thank goodness) has subsided a bit in the past day, phew! I think I might have some round ligament pain (though it doesn’t actually hurt) from my stretching and ever expanding uterus.
FOOD CRAVINGS: Fruit and cheese! And anything with strong bitter flavors like greek olives and pickles. I could also eat frozen yogurt with toppings all day every day!
ANYTHING MAKING YOU SICK? Not really, though when a food doesn’t sound good, it really doesn’t sound good!
WEDDING RING ON OR OFF? On.
BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT? In.
WHAT I MISS: This week it would probably be a nice cold beer outside in the sun to celebrate a long work day.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO:Next week’s appointment…..we get to see the baby again and hear that all is well and right on track!
MILESTONES? I had to go in and see a new doctor to get a shot of Rhogam, which prevents issues with my A- blood type. We found out that Chad has A+ blood and there was reason to believe that I needed the shot. The doctor I saw was soooo sweet and so reassuring and I just left feeling really good about everything! This is quite a new and stressful experience! Always worrying…
BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK: Seeing the baby on the ultrasound at 9 weeks when I went to get the shot. In the picture below you will see that the baby looks like it is waving its hand at the camera. When we saw the baby on the screen, the hand was actually moving back and forth! The baby really was waving at me!
