Well heading back to work certainly keep me busy! Ole's 8 month post just never happened, so this will be a wonder-filled two month update! He has changed so much in the past 2 months, I don't even know where to begin. Our little boy has gone from barely able to crawl to full on army crawling (he was fast!) then to up on all fours crawling, and now thinking that he can stand on his own and attempts to walk (slow it down, boy!). He is a bit fearless and stands up on anything and loves to climb up and down and up and down and up and down the stairs.
Baby Boy Specs
• Weight: 19.45 pounds - 43% He didn't gain much weight since his 6 month checkup, but the doctor said that he was most likely just burning all his calories up thanks to his high energy level. Ole didn't sit still for one minute in the doctor's office, maybe that is why he thinks Ole's metabolism is on overdrive!
• Length: 30 inches - 97% That's our tall boy! He still has 2 inches before we have to break out a new carseat though, phew! A few more months to save for that one.
• Head Circumference: 18.5 inches - 94% Lot's of brains, this one!
• Clothing Size: Though he wears larger sizes, he typically wears 12-18 month tops and 12 month bottoms. He has gigantic feet though and has practically grown out of his adorable moccasins. He gets more compliments on those than on anything else!
Eight-Nine Month Memories
•Favorite Toys: his parents' electric toothbrushes, his brother's food and water bowls (seriously obsessed with them and loves to carry them around the house passing them back and forth between his hands), mom's car keys
• Favorite Foods: this little one is NOT a fan of purees and really anything coming at him from a spoon! He loves baby puffs, teething biscuits, sweet potato fries (especially when they come from Grandma’s restaurant)
• Teeth: We are currently up to 5!! All the better to bite you with!
• Mommy and Ole Dates: Since going back to work Monday through Wednesday at noon, Ole and I make a point to enjoy our days together as much as we can. Our favorite outings include trips to the pool, local community centers’ indoor playgrounds, the mommy and me movies at Lincoln Center, the Play Cafe in Lynnwood, and the Giggle Jungle in Redmond.
• The Family Man: our little man just really loves when we are all together having fun! We call him the family man because he is starting to experience some separation anxiety when mommy leaves for work and as such has been a little more clingy with both mommy and daddy at home. He has even been known to get a little upset with Brother Bear leaves the bedroom in the morning! It’s cute, but we hope our little guy doesn’t get too upset when we leave. He just wants everyone to stay and play together!
• Firsts: boat ride, plane ride, swing ride...lots of rides!
•Nicknames: O, Bug, Bugger
•Milestones: standing up for a few seconds on my own!
