One Month Old

    Our little sweetheart is one month old today!! Where does the time go?  He is growing bigger and getting on a more regular schedule which is so nice.  We are working on the schedule known as EASY, which stands for eat, activity/awake, sleep, your time.  The only thing is that we don't really  have the Y down yet.  Ole sleeps really well...in your arms, so Y is usually a version of me time, which involves things like having him sleep on the hoppy in my lap up against my stomach and typing arms as I work on the computer like I am right now.  Not ideal, but whatever keeps him happy and sleeping is a win for me!  Both Chad and I have gotten really good at the bounce, shimmy, and shake, which he loves and it always seems like it is quite a good workout for us too!  Ole is finally starting to smile and react to us and is starting to enjoy some time in his play yard as well, which is nice for his parents to get a break from holding him, even though holding my baby is truly one of my favorite things in life!  Below are some of Ole Niklas' behaviors that we want to remember in this, his first month of life, and some picture too of course!

One Month Old

• One eyed Willy - he eats with one eye open and one eye closed, too funny
• Hangry - he sometimes gets so hungry after a nap that he truly looks like his angry at my breast!
• Squeaking - he squeaks when he is effectively eating, (it's adorable) which I wish would be every time so we could cut down our hour+ feedings into shorter intervals
• Kissy face aka Blue Steel - Ole does a wonderfully accurate impression of Zoolander when he wakes up from a nap
• Hockey Hair - yes, our boy was born with an awesome mullet
