HOW FAR ALONG? 31 speedy weeks! I still can’t believe that we are almost to the end of this whirlwind journey!
GENDER: One day I am sure it is a girl (most days recently), but then some days I try to remember that little Ole could be in my belly mad that I think it’s a little girl in there kicking me!
BABY IS THE SIZE OF A: The weight of a coconut or a bundle of asparagus….I guess they were running out of good examples by 31 weeks.
TOTAL WEIGHT GAIN: Oh my, I am sure that it is higher than it should be, but I don’t feel like I have gained too much weight in my face or extremities, so I guess that is the good news. I think I am up 26 pounds as of my last doctor’s appointment.
MATERNITY CLOTHES? In truth all that I really want to wear is my green baggy Sunriver sweat pants (thanks Aunt T. for convincing me to buy the XL size!). They are so comfy and don’t put any pressure on my growing middle region.
STRETCH MARKS? Lotion every day! So far, so good! Thanks for the good genes, Mom!
MOVEMENT: Baby Hansen is moving while I type this. The funny thing is how the movement has changed from jabs and kicks to whole body motions. The best feeling ever is feeling the baby move its limbs inside me!
SLEEP: Minus the every few hour to use the bathroom wake ups, not bad! I even have switched to using less pillows as it just makes the bed feel crowded. I know it makes Chad happy!
SYMPTOMS: Fatigue! Every day I am so tired by 6pm that it is amazing that I make it to 9pm before falling asleep on the couch almost every night. Luckily we have been heading to bed earlier as Chad has switched to the morning shift, so I am getting plenty of sleep. Growing a human is hard work!
FOOD CRAVINGS: Lately it has been sweets. I always want dessert or a sweet treat. Not the healthiest of choices I am sure.
ANYTHING MAKING YOU SICK? Luckily no!
WEDDING RING ON OR OFF? On, but getting tight at times.
BELLY BUTTON IN OR OUT? Out and popping out of my clothes too. So funny to see!
WHAT I MISS: I miss feeling like we had plenty of time before baby arrived! At the same time, it is so good to know that baby is doing well and is so far along so I really can’t complain about that.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO: I am looking forward to checking some to-do items off of our list this weekend. We are headed to Babies ‘r Us to pick up some must haves and get to go on our hospital tour this weekend. Maybe the car seat will even get installed!
MILESTONES? We had two more baby showers in the past few weeks. One at my mom’s house for both me and my sister and one with friends at my friend Merri’s house that she and my sister threw. Both were so much fun and I feel so spoiled with all the nice and thoughtful gifts from everyone. I can’t wait to install the car seat, fill my chic new diaper bag, and get all of Baby Hansen’s clothes and must haves ready in the nursery. Nursery reveal coming soon!
BEST MOMENT THIS WEEK: The best moment this week is hard to choose: (1) was sitting on the couch with friends at my shower eating delicious food and chatting, (2) carving pumpkins and passing out candy with my loving family on a low-key Halloween, and (3) enjoying time with family and friends while being feted alongside my sister. So much fun to go through this together! We also celebrated our annual Friendsgiving celebration. Nothing better than eating ham, potatoes, rolls, corn casserole, and my favorite green beans while hanging with your favorite people!
*Bear guarding the Halloween candy stash in his adorable Halloween bow tie! Such a cutie!
*Posing in my festive Halloween shirt...I didn't have the energy for all the cute pregnant costumes I thought of.
*Our pumpkins! Mine was supposed to be Bear...epic fail?
*30 weeks and going strong!
*Celebrating with my sister! Such a fun shower, who would have thought years ago that we would be having a joint baby shower?
*A little festive photo fun, my belly isn't too far off that pumpkin's size!
*Boo! It may not have been a costume, but it was a fun shirt.
*Shower decoration at Merri's house. Such a fun party with great people!
*My baby photos decorated the space.
*It was an amazing food spread of delicious brunch treats.
*Some of my favorite people! We had a lot of fun celebrating at the shower.
*Chad and Miles at Friendsgiving. Isn't he a natural?
*Our annual Friendsgiving was a huge success as always.
*31 weeks!
*The hostess with the most-ess!
*Chad and Bear on Chad's 31st birthday!
